EVENT CANCELLED: Holocaust Remembrance film: "Conspiracy" (2001)

Sunday, April 5, 2020

Notice: Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Effective Friday, March 13 at 5 p.m. CDT, the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum is closed to the public until further notice. Film Summary: At the Wannsee Conference on January 20, 1942, senior Nazi officials meet to determine the manner in which the so-called "Final Solution to the Jewish Question" can be best implemented. The execution of every Jewish person in Europe was their goal. A transcript of the meeting has survived, and that document provided the basis for the screenplay for "Conspiracy," which dramatizes (in real time) the meeting that led to the greatest crime of the 20th century. The film features an ensemble cast, including Colin Firth, David Threlfall, Kenneth Branagh as Reinhard Heydrich and Stanley Tucci as Adolf Eichmann. Branagh won an Emmy Award for Best Actor, and Tucci was awarded a Golden Globe for his supporting role as Eichmann.
