IKEducation Hands on History Station: "Rosie the Riveter" with real life "Rosies!"

Thursday, June 6, 2019

This living history station on the second floor of the Presidential Library will encourage visitors to learn about the women on the American home front who helped win the war. When America’s men left to fight with the Allies in World War II, women were recruited to work at jobs in defense plants and factories. These “Rosie the Riveters” proved their abilities to America and have not looked back since. This station will encourage visitors to learn about the women on the American home front who helped win the war as they explore a variety of artifacts. Visitors might even get to talk to real life Rosies! Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
