May 14, 2018 - July 31, 2019 @ Library 2nd Floor Gallery
While the Eisenhower Presidential Museum undergoes a comprehensive redesign, the exhibits are located in the Presidential Library building. Eisenhower from his boyhood in Abilene, Kansas, to his leadership development through both World Wars, and his two terms in the White House as the 34th President of the United States.
July 25, 2019, 12:00 PM @ Visitors Center Auditorium
White House Historian Lindsay M. Chervinsky presents "The Man for the Moment: President Dwight Eisenhower, Post-war America and the Looming Cold War." She will discuss how Eisenhower was the right man to lead the United States after the end of World War II. Chervinsky will explore how Eisenhower used his experiences, outlook and leadership style to usher in a period of relative peace, economic expansion and stability desperately needed after decades of economic turmoil and war. She will also share key behind-the-scenes stories and photos that reveal life in the Eisenhower White House. The White House Historical Association's 2019 Official White House Christmas Ornament honors President Eisenhower and symbolizes his commitment to innovation. The ornament is available for purchase in the Eisenhower Presidential Library's gift shop and online at the ILikeIkeStore.com. The Lunch & Learn series is made possible by the Eisenhower Foundation and the Jeffcoat Memorial Foundation.
