Legacy Gala Held in October

After a two-year hiatus, the annual Eisenhower Legacy Gala was held on October 15, 2022, at the Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas. This year’s theme was “How Ike Led,” and featured keynote speaker Susan Eisenhower, Ike’s granddaughter and author of How Ike Led: The Principles Behind Eisenhower’s Biggest Decisions. Gala attendees went home with an autographed copy of the book.

The program included an overview of the Eisenhower Foundation’s achievements over the past few years and a preview of what’s planned in the coming year.

A drawing was also held for the Foundation’s first-ever I Like Ike Raffle. Winners were John Anguiano, White Glove Tour; and Spencer Jorgensen, Historic Washington D.C. Tour.

Retiring Eisenhower Foundation board members Ann Brownell Sloane and James Hagerty were recognized for their years of service on the board.
