Giving Tuesday Goal Met for IKEducation

Thanks to a matching gift challenge from the Beach- Edwards Family Foundation and donors from across the country, this was a record-breaking year for the Eisenhower Foundation’s Giving Tuesday campaign.

The Eisenhower Foundation was issued a challenge: if we met our $10,000 goal for Giving Tuesday, the Beach-Edwards Family Foundation agreed to match donations, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000.

The Eisenhower Foundation is thrilled to report that thanks to you— our loyal supporters— this goal was met in record time, and was nearly doubled, resulting in over $29,700! Funding will support Ike’s Field Trip Fund that provides

transportation grants to schools visiting the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Kansas, to participate in IKEducation programs.

This is the first time since 2020 that school groups have been able to visit the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. As expected, the demand for IKEducation programming and field trip grants has never been greater. So far, 17 applications for Ike’s Field Trip Fund have been received and funded this school year.

Thanks to the Beach-Edwards Family Foundation and hundreds of donors from 28 states and Washington D.C., the Eisenhower Foundation will be able to continue providing field trip grants to schools participating in IKEducation programs. These unique learning experiences teach students about Dwight D. Eisenhower’s legacy and how a boy from Abilene, Kansas, grew up to lead our world through one of the most difficult periods in human history.
