Planning Your Visit

We invite you to explore the extraordinary life and legacy of the only 5-star General who became President of the United States. Each year, we host over 200,000 visitors on our beautiful 22-acre campus. Included in the five public buildings are the Visitors Center, the Eisenhower family home on its original location, the Presidential Museum, the Presidential Library, and the Place of Meditation where Ike, Mamie and their first-born son are interred.
After more than a year of renovation, the all-new 25,000 square feet of museum exhibit space at the Eisenhower Presidential Museum opened in July 2019. This renovation project was a grassroots effort that was funded through donations to the Eisenhower Foundation’s Dwight D. Eisenhower: A Legacy of Leadership Capital Campaign. The Eisenhower Foundation provides funding for exhibits, educational programs, and community events at the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home in Abilene, Kansas.
