BIOGRAPHY

Millard Schaaf was a native of Hope, KS. born in 1922. He attended public school and graduated from Hope High School in 1941. In June of 1941 he found work in Hasty, CO at a filling station and moved to Denver to continue the same work until October 10, 1942, when he was inducted into the Army at Camp Carson, Co. Basic training was at Fort Warren, WY, after three months he requested a transferred to the Amphibia engineers. His request was granted and Schaaf went to Fort Devens, MA for schooling, graduating in April of 1943. No other information is known about his military career.
